If Burlington starts to look a little like California over the next
week, don't be surprised. Paddleboarders aplenty will be streaming in to
race, demo and socialize at Saturday's Stand Up for the Lake event from
11 to 5 p.m. at the city's Waterfront Park on Lake Champlain.
To learn more about the paddleboarding phenomenon, Free Press
reporter Molly Walsh caught up with Russ Scully of Burlington,
co-founder of the SUP event and co-owner with his wife Roxanne Scully of
the Wind and Waves shop on Pine Street.
