Marie Newton enjoys stand-up paddleboarding with her rescue dog, Petey, almost every day.
“Petey is still learning,”
said Newton of Fort Collins, “but she is getting better every day. It’s
not really the board. It’s more that she just tends to be a little
worried about things in general, but we are working on helping her feel
more confident.”
Petey then jumped off the
board and splashed happily to shore. “I love SUP in the morning up at
Horsetooth,” Newton said. “It is quiet and peaceful and a great way to
start the day.”
Stand-up paddleboarding, SUP

becoming a favorite sport for canines as well.
