Gloucester man competes in Hawaii SUP races

Will Rich has tackled countless challenges on his standup paddleboard.
The Gloucester native has won the Blackburn Challenge, a 20 plus mile trip around the waters of Cape Ann, and he paddleboarded all the way up the East Coast of the United States in 2011.
Rich has now taken his paddleboarding skills to the far west coast as he competed in the Molokai2Oahu (M2O) Paddleboard World Championships in Hawaii last weekend and he will be competing in a race in Kauai this coming weekend.
It may not have been an 87 day trek up the East Coast of the United States from Key West to Maine like the trip Rich made back in 2011, but the M2O was still packed with challenges including a stacked field of paddlers.
