A guide to standup paddleboarding in South Florida

 

The breeze is light, the water is still and you stand quietly, paddling just enough to glide along the water.

More standup paddleboarders are discovering how easy it is to enjoy South Florida's plentiful waterways, making for a boom in the activity that is often referred to as SUP.

"People see other people out there paddleboarding, and the curiosity gets to them," says Brian Galton, owner of Sunrise Paddleboards. "It becomes contagious."
